Emmagination is all about monogramming and personalized gifts. Webster’s defines a ‘name’ as “a word or phrase that constitutes the distinctive designation of a person or thing.” A ‘monogram’ is “a design composed of one or more letters used as a distinguishing mark.”
Everyone would love to see their name “in lights” because it makes us special, sets us apart, distinguishes us from others, but for most of us, that dream may not become a reality. So that’s our goal at emmagination; to provide our customers with really cool, top quality, gift items that will distinguish each person as a unique individual. You are only limited by your “emmagination.”

1 – 3 initials $10.00
Names up to 9 letters $12.00 with .50 cents for each additional letter
2. Choosing a monogram or name
First of all understand that embroidery is the art or process by which thread is sewed in a particular letter or design onto a piece of fabric. Monograms or monogramming is taking the three initials that usually make up your first, middle and last name and applying that to an item in a particular order.
When ordering monogrammed items, we ask that you enter initials in that order (first, last, middle). If you would like a particular monogram stitched differently, please note that in the comments section for each particular item purchased. Listed below are some traditional guidelines we have found:
Individual: the familiar order is first initial, last initial, middle initial, with the last initial stitched larger than the first and middle initials. For example, Sarah Ann Whitmore would be SWA with the last initial larger than the first and middle initials.
Traditionally, men have their initials placed in natural order (first, middle, last) all stitched in the same height, typically in the Block font. For example, John David Whitmore’s monogram would be JDW. However, you may also choose do their monogram in the same order as listed for individuals, the choice is yours.
Couples: the familiar order is the woman’s first initial, couple’s last initial, man’s first initial, with the last initial stitched larger than the first and middle initials. For example, Sarah and John Whitmore’s monogram would be SWJ. However, today, “anything goes” and we often have customers who desire the man’s initial first, thus JWS. A monogram is your personal distinction, so choose what you like! We are here for help and have lots of suggestions so feel free to email us.
Single Name/Initial: these may be used on some items (where specified) as well and are considered less formal than traditional three letter monograms.

Yes, we can also embroider poems, birthdates, phrases, or anything else you may have in mind. Please feel free to contact us through email with your special request.
9. Is all embroidering work done in house?
Yes, we do all embroidering work in our studio located in Louisville, Kentucky. Currently we do not digitize so digitizing (which is simply taking a font or design and creating it in a format that our equipment can read) is not done in house.
10. How do I care for my embroidered items?
All baby items can be washed and dried as normal, but we do suggest that these items not be washed with other items that have buttons, zippers or anything else that could snag the embroidery. Shirts and other clothing items should be washed inside out and as specified by the garment tag. Emmagination is not responsible for damage to the products by misuse, normal wear or by dry cleaning.
The stainless steel cups are suggested to be hand washed only as the dish washer could damage the fabric lining. Regarding the toddler sippy cup, you may remove the outer “cup” and rinse the outside while the inner cup is dish washed or you can remove the actual fabric insert and put the entire cup in the dishwasher.
